Professional Development Guidelines for Excellence Workshop - Online, Tuesday AM Section

The Guidelines for Excellence is a series of materials to help environmental educators hone their practice and programs to national standards for high-quality EE programming.   This workshop will focus on the Professional Development Environmental Education Guidelines for Excellence publication.

• Explore and expand on the six themes of the guidelines through independent work, group work, and discussion during live calls over the duration of the workshop.
• Create a professional portfolio, an assessment and evaluation plan, and a plan for continued professional development using what is learned throughout the course.

Format: This course will be a combination of independent online work and required group calls.  We will be using an online platform called Moodle for independent work and Zoom for the calls (video and call-in options). 

Live Call Dates: Tuesday, January  10 and Tuesday, January 17 from 10:30 a.m.-12:00 p.m. Note: you must attend and participate in both calls to receive full credit for this course.

Limited to 25 students. 

Eligible for 10 hours of Criteria I or continuing education credit for the NC DEQ EE Certificate.

Registration: $15 for EENC members, $20 for general registration.
