Just 4 miles from beautiful Lizard Lick, NC, this Wake County Park millpond has the feel of a downeast swamp. Cypress trees, a heron rookery, prothonotary warblers, blue spotted sunfish and pirate perch can all be found in this millpond! An easy 1.1 mile paddle through stands of Bald Cypress, this flatwater paddle takes you back in time and further into the coastal plain as one of Wake County’s natural gems.
Bring your own boat and join EENC members for a relaxing tour of a unique site in the Central Section.
