An Introduction to Disinfectants for Educators (EENC Webinar)

  • Thu, June 17, 2021
  • 2:00 PM - 3:00 PM

Did you know that disinfectants are classified as a pesticide by the EPA?  As you return to or expand in-person environmental education programming this summer, we know your top priority is keeping everyone safe. Before you grab that spray bottle, join the EPA pesticides team to learn about proper disinfectant use in the age of COVID-19.

Presenters: Savannah Merritt and Rose Yeley
Savannah Merritt is a Life Scientist with EPA Region 4, acting as the IPM Coordinator for the Region's pesticide program. She received her BSA and BSES from UGA in Agricultural Economics and Environmental Economics and Management. Her education experience is varied, from informal classroom instruction abroad to region-wide professional webinars.

Rose Yeley is the Pollinator Protection Coordinator in the pesticides program at EPA Region 4.  Rose graduated from UK and received a BS in Environmental Science.  During her time at UK, she focused on outdoor education, leading hikes at Lexington parks and serving as an environmental education AmeriCorps member.
