Are you a classroom teacher working to engage your students on remote learning days? How about a nonformal educator planning virtual field trips to your site? Then this webinar is for you! Whether you’re a novice to Google Slides or an experienced user, you’ll gain some tips and tricks to gamify your presentation to make it more interactive for students. You will walk away with the skills to create a virtual library, a virtual field trip, or make your lessons into a board game or escape room. The possibilities are endless!

Presenter: Mary Meyer
Mary Meyer is the Elementary Environmental Education Consultant for UNC-IE’s Center for Public Engagement with Science, where she implements professional development programs for teachers to increase the use of their schoolyard and nearby parks. Prior to joining UNC-IE, Meyer worked for a variety of informal education centers including the Columbus Zoo, Brookgreen Gardens, and the U.S. National Whitewater Center. In those positions she wrote and taught standards-based environmental education curriculum for grades PreK-12. Meyer is a Certified Interpretive Trainer through the National Association for Interpretation as well as a facilitator for Project Learning Tree and Project WET workshops. She is also on the board of directors for the Environmental Educators of North Carolina (EENC) as the Piedmont Chair and received EENC’s Outstanding Service Award in 2020.
