Socialize and network with other local environmental educators while learning new, proven techniques for teaching outdoors!
Making observations is key for scientists to better understand the natural world. This mini-workshop will teach participants scientific observation skills that can be used to deepen engagement, curiosity, wonder, and connection in nature among students. Activities are student-focused and based on BEETLES Project (Better Environmental Education, Teaching, Learning & Expertise Sharing) sessions. Workshop led by Amy Renfranz, EENC President, and Marissa Blackburn, EENC Eastern Section Chair. Can be used towards NC EE Certification Criteria II or III.
FREE. Limited to 12 participants. Workshop will be held outdoors, social distancing guidelines will be followed, and face masks will be required. Bring a bagged lunch/snack. Must pre-register by Wed. 12/9. Email eenceastern@gmail.com for questions and to register.
