The Guidelines for Excellence is a series of materials to help environmental educators hone their practice and programs to national standards for high-quality EE programming. 

This workshop will build the capacity for educators (formal, nonformal, and higher education) to:

  • Facilitate professional development workshops for your peers and community members 
  • Offer professional development for Criteria I credit for the NC Office of Environmental Education's EE Certification Program.
  • Incorporate the Guidelines for Excellence into staff and community trainings or student classroom activities
  • Increased understanding of how the Guidelines for Excellence can be used to support high quality environmental education

Successful completion of this workshop will enable you to be a trainer for the following Guidelines for Excellence publications: Materials, K-12 Learner, Professional Development, Materials, Nonformal EE, and Early Childhood EE.
