The 2019 North Carolina Association of Environmental Education Centers Annual Conference and the Environmental Educators of North Carolina are uniting to host a 2019 Bookend Conference at the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville, NC from February 28th - March 2nd, 2019. This conference will bring together representatives from EE Centers and non-formal educators who want to incorporate environmental education in engaging, innovative, and meaningful ways. All educators, from anywhere inside or outside the state are welcome!
All events occur at the NC Arboretum unless otherwise specified.The conference consists of four separate events and an optional social on Friday evening at Highland Brewing Co. in their Taproom starting at 6pm. You can register for one or all of the events. Please note that if you want to register for more than one day without registering for the entire meeting (Thursday and Friday only, for example), you will need to register for each day separately!
Event 1: EENC Western Section Mini-Conference: Morning Concurrent Sessions, Lunch, Afternoon Concurrent Sessions, Criteria II opportunities
Event 2: NCAEEC/EENC Joint Reception: Reception, Dinner, EENC Keynote Speaker (Kim Delozier, Author of Bear in the Back Seat: Adventures of a Wildlife Ranger), Night Hike and Night Activities
Event 3: NCAEEC Annual Meeting: Morning Concurrent Sessions, Lunch, NCAEEC Keynote Speaker (Caren Cooper, Author of Citizen Science: How Ordinary People are Changing the Face of Discovery.) Annual Meeting, Afternoon Concurrent Sessions, Silent Auctions
*** Optional: Social at Highland Brewing Company - Friday evening at 6pm: Please indicate that you plan on attending when registering - just for seating concerns. There is no additional cost to attend. Food and drinks are on your own. -***

You will select your field trip option on the SECOND
page of the registration screen. Please choose the field trip payment option on the first screen and select your desired field trip on the second page of registration. Please keep in mind that field trip slots are first come, first serve.
There will be a discount applied for attending all four events, as well as additional discounts for EENC Members and
current students. To receive the EENC Member discount, please be logged into your EENC account when registering. To receive the student discount code, please e-mail a scan of a current student ID or an official class roster PLUS the session(s) you are interested in attending to the registration contact listed below. Registration ends on February 22nd, 2019.
