Know before you Go: Important information for attendees

 We are really looking forward to seeing you at the EENC conference  Below, you will find details about the conference so you can be prepared.

Conference Schedule

Conference App:

  • We will again be using an app for the conference called Sched. In the app you will find the full schedule with details, create your own personal schedule, connect with others, find a map of the facility, and learn about our wonderful sponsors and exhibitors.
  • You can create your own Sched account to build a customized schedule. 
  • To learn more about how to use the app, see the Sched Attendee Guides-
    • Tip: if the conference times are showing up incorrectly for you in the app, try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.  Then find our event and log in again.
  • Alternatively, you can find the conference schedule on our website.

Thursday Evening Social:

  • We would love to invite you to join us for a pre-conference social event Thursday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Transfer Co. Food Hall in Downtown Raleigh! 
  • This will be a great opportunity to connect, reconnect, and relax with other attendees before an incredible couple of days of sessions and workshops. 
  • This event is completely free to attend! EENC will not be providing any refreshments, but has reserved space for us to gather. You can purchase food and drinks from a variety of vendors there if you choose.

Registration Check-in:

  • Check-in will be in the Lobby of the McKimmon Center. Look for the EENC banners!  If you are attending a Thursday workshop or field trip, meet directly at that event site..
  • The EENC registration desk will be open:
    • Friday September 9, 2022 from 8:00am - 6:00pm
    • Saturday September 10, 2022 8:00am - 4:30pm

Auction and Raffle:

  • The in-person silent auction will begin at 9:30 am on Friday and end at 5:30 pm that day. 
  • Raffle tickets will be available all day Friday and Saturday until the raffle drawing at the end of lunch. 
  • We'll also have an online auction that will continue on until September 30 with amazing items like a week at the Sands of Salvo beach house, tickets to amazing NC attractions, and more! 
  • Proceeds from the auction will help support future justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion workshops for educators. Cash, check, and credit card options will all be available for the auction and raffle.


    Use 1101 Gorman Street Raleigh, NC 27606 to travel to the McKimmon Conference & Training Center

    The McKimmon Center has two large lots in front of the building marked with green lines.  All of the attendees should park in those spaces marked with green lines.  

    If entering at the main entrance, the lots will be on either side of the entrance drive.

    COVID-19 Precautions

    • EENC recommends the use of masks for the duration of the conference. Spare masks will be available at the registration desk.
    • If you do not feel well, please do not attend the conference.  Contact to cancel.

    Things to Bring

    Things to bring/wear:

    • Water bottle and travel coffee cup.
    • Bring a mix of items for warm weather outside and cooler temperatures inside.
    • Comfortable walking shoes. 
    • Casual clothing

    Silent Auction and Raffle

    • We are still accepting items for the silent auction and raffle! 
    • If you plan on submitting a piece, we encourage you to pre-fill out the bid sheet for your item. (Either make your own copy to edit, or print and fill out). You can bring a printed version along or email us a digital copy and we print it out. Additional blank bid sheets will be available at registration on Friday morning.
